Quentin Davidson, a resident of Messiah Village Retirement Center in Upper Allen Township, passed away on Tuesday, April 19th, at the age of 92.

He was a graduate of the June 1936 Class of William Penn High School, received an undergraduate degree in 1941 from Shippensburg State Teachers College and a Master's degree from The University of Pennsylvania in 1950. He was a member of the Messiah Village Brethren in Christ Church.

For 64 years he was a devoted husband of his high school sweetheart, Jeanne Elizabeth Six, who departed this life in 2006.

He is survived by one daughter, Susan Martz, of Mechanicsburg; a grandson, Dr. Jason Martz, a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy Reserve, of Canton, Michigan and wife, Melissa; a granddaughter, Jenell Posa and her husband Rob of Indianapolis, Indiana; and great granddaughter, Gabriela Posa, and great grandson, Luca Posa.

During his years as an educator, Quentin was either a teacher or counselor at Susquehanna Township Junior High School, Camp Curtin Junior High School, William Penn High School and the Cumberland Valley School District.

He served on Active Duty as a Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve during World War II and the Korean Conflict. During his service, he became a Plank Owner at Naval Supply Depot Mechanicsburg, on the destroyer USS Chauncey DD-667 and at the U.S. Naval Reserve Training Center, Harrisburg. He retired as a Commander after 20 years of service.

Auer Cremation Services of Pennsylvania, Inc., 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg is handling arrangements. Burial, along with his wife, will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations may be made to Cumberland County Chapter of the PA Association of School Retirees, 878 Century Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 and Messiah Village Benevolent Fund, 100 Mount Allen Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
