Nicholas D'Amico, 79, of West Hanover Twp., passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Hershey Medical Center.

Born March 23, 1932, in Philadelphia, he was son of the late Anthony and Lucretia (Spadacini) D'Amico.

He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War and attained the rank of Corporal as an engineer and equipment operator.

Mr. D'Amico had worked for Singer Sewing Machine and was retired from the Department of Public Welfare after 15 years of service.

Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Carol D'Amico, of Hershey; his children, Lynn of York, George of Soldotna, Alaska, Ray of Shertz, TX, and Terri of Dillsburg; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Antoinette and Lena, both of Phildelphia.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2011, 12:00pm, at Auer Cremation Services of Pennsylvania, Inc., 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109. Visitation will be from 11:00am until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Glaucoma Foundation, 80 Maiden Lane, Suite 700, New York, NY 10038.
