Nina Belle (Spurgeon) Denton

Nina Belle (Spurgeon) Denton, 87, of Dillsburg, passed away Monday, August 31, 2015, at Greenridge Village in Newville. She was the wife of the late Myron Denton, the love of her life.

She was a member of the York Springs Seventh Day Adventist Church and was devoted to her faith for all of her 87 years. She loved to admire her extensive sea shell collection that she called “her babies.” She had so many memories of gathering her shells at Sanibel Island. She loved to travel, cruise the sea, read, make puzzles (often staying up all night), and most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She always made sure that each child was special to her.

Surviving Nina are her children, Paul and wife Arlene Summers, Yvonne and husband John Steinert and Chris and wife Robin Denton; granddaughter and best friend, Lisa Smith and husband Greg of York Springs; brother and best friend, Harold Spurgeon and wife Sue; friends, Deb, Bertha, Bill and all of the residents of the Westminster House at Carrol Village; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Denton.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, October 2, 2015, 10:00AM, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 7499 Carlisle Pike, York Springs, PA 17372. Burial will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA, at 12:30 PM.
