Dorothy P. Douglas, long-time resident of Highland Park, entered the Church Triumphant on Wednesday May 8th at Spang Crest Manor, Lebanon County.

Born July 1920, Dotty was the youngest child of George L. Diehl and Helen Diehl (Flowers) of Harrisburg. She was predeceased by her brother, Luther, and her husband John S. Douglas, Sr. A 1937 graduate of Susquehanna Township High School, Dotty briefly worked for the state of Pennsylvania before marrying and moving to the West Shore. She was secretary to the bank president at Lemoyne Bank and Trust, and later became a teller, head teller and Assistant Branch Manager at the New Cumberland branch of CCNB, which later became PNC Bank. Dotty retired after 33 years of service to the company.

An avid gardener, Dorothy was an active member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Camp Hill since 1951, serving on the counting team and attending Saturday evening services. She was also active in the Highland Park Women's Club and the Camelot Chapter of ABWA. Dotty is survived by her son, Rev. John S. Douglas Jr., and his wife Susan, of Annville, and her grandchildren; Jennifer, of Camp Hill, Natalie and Lee, of Annville.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1610 Carlisle Road Camp Hill, at eleven o'clock on Thursday May 16th. Visitation with family and friends will be held before the service at nine-thirty that morning. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Grace Lutheran Church.
