Dorothy R. Denlinger, 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Lancaster General Hospital surrounded by family.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late J. Landis and Florence E. Herr. She retired from AT&T (Bell of Pennsylvania) in the mid 1990's after many years of service. In her retirement years, she worked part-time at Royers Pharmacy and Brethren Village.

A quiet woman and avid reader with a sharp mind and wonderful sense of humor, Dorothy enjoyed her trips to Myrtle Beach, watching wildlife, shopping excursions, and, most of all, her time spent with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Sellers, of Warriors Mark; two sons, James Parmer and his wife Holly Walton Parmer of Lititz, and Steven Parmer of Ephrata; and a stepson, Bruce Denlinger and his wife Trudi Denlinger of Bethlehem. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Kerry, Jason, James, and Dustin Parmer, Rebecca and Laura Sellers, and Sarah Denlinger; and three great grandchildren, as well as two sisters, Miriam Mull and her husband Leroy Mull of Brunnerville and Erma Zimmerman and her husband Walt Zimmerman of Lititz; and two brothers, Melvin Herr and his wife Peg Herr of Brunnerville and Robert Herr of Akron.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to New Life Mission-Haiti, 420 East Fulton Street, Ephrata, PA 17522.
