Helen Mae Ott, 92, of Lancaster, passed into the presence of the Lord Sunday, September 3, 2017, at Homestead Village.  She was the widow of George Ott, who passed away in March 2013.  Helen was born and raised in Lancaster County, moved to Long Island, New York, and after retirement moved to Homestead Village in 1997.

Helen was a very active in her community and also a very active member of Church of the Apostles in Lancaster, PA as well as when they lived in New Hyde Park, NY, and attended Community Congregational Church.  She loved singing in the choir, participated in White Elephant fundraising, and she served in the office folding bulletins and other administrative tasks.  Helen was always faithful in providing apple pies and all types of cookies to all events as well as friends and neighbors.

Surviving are her son, Stephen and wife Kathleen; grandchildren, Chris, Nicole, and James Ott; daughter, Diane Ott Jones and husband Bob; grandchildren Tom and Britt Nagelmeyer and great-granddaughter Kary Helene; Jonathan Jones, Stephanie and Alan Dossett, and son, Thomas and wife Michelle; granddaughters, Ryan, Kelly, Devon and Shay Ott.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, October 2, 2:15 p.m., at the Homestead Village Glasford Room.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by Cremation Society of Pennsylvania, Inc.
